Student Board Members
Seeking Sophomore Applicants
KEF’s board includes Kennett High School student members who will serve 3-year terms and are active members of the board. They are expected to attend board meetings (held once a month on Fridays at 8 a.m.), join board committees, and support board initiatives. The student members may be asked to coordinate high school student volunteers, help spread awareness for KEF grant applications to high school students and teachers, and obtain feedback from students on past and potential grants.

LIASON
Serve as liaison between Kennett students, teachers, and the KEF board

REPRESENT
Represent student interests and perspectives on grants, scholarships, and planned events

VOICE
Be a voice to the board regarding student issues, questions, concerns, and successes

ATTEND
Attend board meetings regularly

PARTICIPATE
Participate on one board committee based on skills and interests
Requirements
Students apply during sophomore year and will remain on the board through senior year. They should feel passionate about excellence in education and have a strong desire to facilitate the continual improvement of our school district. Ideal student board members will possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills and will have demonstrated the ability to follow through on tasks and get things done.
